ESC-tension 2, EDU-Home and SELF projects

The commitment of ENDISU to international projects continues actively in the projects in which it is involved either as a coordinator or as a partner.

The moment is crucial for the activities development, the main tools, and the planned outputs for each of the projects.

In fact, ENDISU is coordinating the ESC-tension 2 project, which is currently at a very significant stage of development.

In May, the third of the five Work Packages foreseen by the project will end: the ESC-tension Student Toolbox. It is, in fact, the core of the project as it gathers all the tools designed to raise students’ awareness about the European Student Card (ESC) and its benefits.

Among the contents, the team developed 10 short videos exploring different dynamics of the “Student Journey” at university in which ESC can make a difference.

The use cases depicted in the videos were selected and narrated thanks to the cooperative work done by the partners. Partners had previously carried out the research that analyzes the impact of the ESC at each stage of the Student Journey.

The contents, initially produced in English, are soon going to be translated into the other languages of the project partners: Italian, French, and Portuguese. The partners will meet at the University of Normandy in Caen on 8 April for the consolidation of the third Work Package and the definition of the upcoming activities.

ENDISU also supports two further Erasmus+ projects, EDU-Home and SELF, which are also at a crucial stage of their development.

The first one is EDU-Home, coordinated by the EDUCatt Foundation: its third Work Package is close to conclusion. This concerns the realization of the EDU-Home online platform to enable the reliable and accessible search for accommodation for people in mobility within the context of Higher Education. The platform is currently only accessible for project partners who are carrying out tests concerning listing and administrative management of the platform. The test platform has been completed in English, whereas the tests in the other languages of non-English speaking partners (Italian, German, and Greek) are currently under revision.

The partners will meet on 9 May in Cyprus, hosted by Rivensco, in order to finalize and consolidate the results of the third Work Package.

The second project ENDISU supports is SELF, coordinated by the University of Malaga, which recently reached new milestones. Also in this project, which aims to develop educational content to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of students in Europe, the implementation of the third Work Package is in progress under the leadership of the University of Aveiro. The drafting of the planned training modules has been completed and the modules are currently available online in the English version.

Through the realisation of those contents, the project aims to empower young entrepreneurs by providing them with the necessary tools to succeed in a constantly changing world. By addressing socio-economic inequalities and encouraging the acquisition of key competencies, SELF is fully in line with the EU’s overall approach of supporting self-employed entrepreneurs, with a focus on young people, university students, and recent graduates.

The project is now in the phase of translating the training modules into the languages of the partners (i.e. Italian, Slovakian, Spanish, and Portuguese) in order to ensure their accessibility to students in their local contexts. The administration of these modules to students will take place during Fall season 2025.
